I am not too good at this picture posting thing. Marilyn, how did you get pics inside your post?

Deb in MI, along with her DH were in DC for a visit. We were able to coordinate schedules and meet for lunch on Sat. It was so nice to meet a fellow swapper in person! We had a great time chatting and getting to know each other over a delicious lunch. The chef even treated us to a lovely bowl mussels--three of the four of us had never had mussels but were immediate converts!

The "link" pic has Deb on the left and me on the right. The "image" pic includes out DH's.

Deb hope you all had a good and safe trip home!

Nice to SEE you! What great pics... we need a central place to post these "meet" pics smileys/smile.gif

I owe a big 'thank you' to Barb in arranging our get together!

It was so nice meeting her and her DH. We had a delicious and delightful lunch and lots of fun conversation. I consider myself very lucky to have had this wonderful opportunity to meet another swapper!

How fun!! What a special treat! Thanks for sharing the story and the pictures! I haven't had

mussels either! How were they served?

Regards,
Barb

I think they were served in a broth/butter combo...

with herbs. The broth was delicious. Hopefully Barbara can do a better job of explaining. The mussels were laid on a bed of something...but I just realized I never tasted it so I don't know what it was.

A lot of help I am:)

Yes, nice pictures - looks like you had fun. I also like your "signature" picture, cheezz! How

did you get it in photobucket that tiny. Cute!!

Not sure I can describe it any better...............

I was busy exploring the taste and texture of the mussels. There were some shredded greens which may have been cabbage? and the broth was rich and creamy, butter/cream for sure. That helps a lot, LOL!

Photobucket has it's size restrictions - 64x64 pix I think? That's my little "great"-nephew.

Awww...what nice smiles! I'll be wine was involved! Lots of it!

Barb, if you loaded your picture into photobucket, it gives you three options:

1. hyperlink back to photobucket
2. hypertext
3. image

If you copy the second option, you can past it in the Message text field of your post and the photo will show where-ever you put the hypertext.

At least I think it will. I've only done it once.
