Plainville Turkey lovers, it's a sad day...

The local restaurant (as far as I know, the only Plainville restaurant) closed today, for good. Last year they had a salmonella scare there, and ever since the bad economy took its toll; now another salmonella problem in the restaurant and the owner unexpectly closed it today.

It is a local company, and it had the best buffet on the planet (

Dawn, the Plainville Turkey Farm is in Pennsylvania, so not to worry..

there is no sign of panic at the farm's website, and we sold hundreds of their turkey the past holiday season.

restaurant, not the farm. Didn't know they had expanded to include a farm in PA though - thanks for the info.

Many Syracusans are crushed - it's been a favorite restaurant for decades here. It closed abruptly yesterday - no probs during last holiday season, thankfully.
