Planning on making jam filled shortbread cookies. Instead of rolling out the dough

I would like to pipe it so they have some texture. Any experience with this so you could tell me what type of tip to use?

 
I'm not a "pretty cookie" baker and gave up on cookie presses after one memorable

struggle.
But folks here make cheese straws in a pretty rosette with them and that dough is about the same consistency as shortbread.
