...was a dear, sweet person who touched so many lives in such a wondrous way... and many of those who received her generous love were people she never even met in person. What does that say about her? Truly!

She was REAL. She was wise. She was vulnerable and considerate. She called a spade, a spade. She had the amazing ability to say the right thing at the right time. She knew when to stir the pot, and when to 'call it good'. Above all, she knew how to be a true friend.

We didn't agree all the time. We bumped heads and came out the other end... Friends. That was her gift. I really believe that. She touched our lives in a way that few others could.

One thing I know for certain: she would want us all to move forward and continue to cook and create for those we love. She would never want us to hurt or ache for her private battles, and she would find self-effacing humor in all our efforts to express our love for her.

She epitomized the reason I love this place. The humanity and the community we share is the true essence of what draws each of us to this place -why we needed to find a home when we were "homeless" (thank you Mimi).

Randi, I give you my respect, my prayers and my love. May you rest in peace, and may you somehow be aware of the love we all feel for you now.
