Please help! Anyone with a kitchen scale & japanese rice on hand.............

I'm trying to cost out my sushi (I start at the farmer's market tomorrow), & I thought, oh, I don't need a scale, I'll just measure out the entire sack of rice in cups, & figure it out that way.

ok - i no longer want to do that!!

could anyone help me out? I'm trying to figure out the weight (in grams, if possible) of one cup of dry japanese rice.

I don't have a scale, but according to this website, it should be 185 grams

Michelle, I weighed a cup of basmati rice and came up with 190g. Don't worry,

if your food costs or measures are a little off this first time you can adjust things as you go. Good luck and congratulations! Let us know how it goes.
