Please help me recall: someone posted a recipe with a bottled dressing, such as Kraft

Russian or some white version, something....and I thought next time these dressings are on sale, I'll buy one and make this. It was within the last 6 weeks, I think.

I don't normally use these dressings but at $1 a bottle, I can chuck the remainder. The sale is on now.

Anyone remember what that recipe would have been?

It may have been a chicken recipe.

I got it. My mind is still working. It was chicken & used apricot jam which I have on hand.

Ron's PEACOCK CHICKEN
1 package dry onion soup
1 (8-oz.) bottle red Russian dressing
1 (8-oz.) jar apricot preserves
1 cut-up chicken
Place chicken in baking pan. Combine other ingredients and pour over chicken. Bake at 350ºF. for one hour.

And is indeed Stupidly Simple, just right for me.

It's just such a weird combination of ingredients. I'm having trouble

wrapping my brain around it. Obviously it's good or it wouldn't be in T&T.

and using Steves spicy apricot jam would put it over the top, but I wouldn't want to use up the

jar of that good stuff. maybe add some jalapeno slices.

This is a really old recipe- I first wrote it down in the 1960s. It is pretty good

I have mixed something similar and put it on ham and it is okay.
