As you know, the Recipe Swap has been around since 2005, when Epicurious threw us out the window. It started out as Finer Kitchens with Mimi and Paul as web masters, then went through multiple software adjustments as they tried to keep a format that no one wanted to change.
For almost 20 years, Paul Massell has managed the site, saved our recipes and kept all of us from being spammed. However, last year the out-dated software became a serious security issue and Paul transitioned all of the posts to RecipeSwap.org.
Now Paul needs your help. He has been hospitalized for several months with a serious illness and is unable to work. I will not provide more details than that, but please realize this is serious.
If you are currently posting, lurking or simply searching for an old recipe, then you are using the swap. This wonderful cache of recipes would not be available if it weren’t for Paul.
So today I am asking you to help Paul by making a donation to the site. If you are in contact with Gail Swap friends, please pass this on to them. I sent this out to a limited list of emails but know many of you are still in contact with others through Facebook, etc. I did ask Paul if he was okay with this and he said he was not in the position to say no to any help others can provide.
