amazing...I just can't get the dang caramel to STAY on the apples. Tried scrubbing, glue, duct tape,

staples, spittle...nothing works for me.

I end up with a puddle of caramel at the base of the apple---like Tweedle Dee caught with his pants down.

Maybe organic apples? Some without wax, for sure.

You're right, mistral. I saw a technique I've never tried that says dip apple in caramel then

immediately into ice water - no pooling, no drips, instant set!

So...CathyZ's caramel at room temp, cold apples, ice water bath...sounds like an experiment.
