some good prices on kitchen items. Instant pot 6 qt duo for $49.99 / 8 qt $69.99 the newer model w/ sterilizer is $87.99 for 6qt and the one with wifi $89

There was an 8qt. Crockpot "instant pot" for $55! I imagine some other brands

may have caught up--and probably crockpot is one (as the originator of the slow cooker). But I haven't read their reviews.

Macys had a competing sale last night large le crueset for $99 reg $350

That is an amazing price reduction, are these products that do not sell?

Perhaps overstocks they just want to get rid of to make room for more stuff?
I have had some of my cooking friends tell me they bought the Instant Pots and while they like them, most are not big enough for larger jobs like Dutch Ovens handle.

The Prime day sale is supposed to be like Black Friday in July. Many other retailers

like Macy's, Target, etc. are trying ti match it. Not really overstocks--just a marketing gimmick for a one day sale.
Instant Pots are like pressure cookers (which they are)--small ones are not of great use because for that purpose you can only fill approximately half full.

I have the 8qt and it is sufficient for most jobs but there are plenty of times

when I would go bigger if I could. Even a wider surface area in the pot would be nice especially for meat or other items that you are supposed to saute first. But regardless I've bought a lot of gadgets, appliances etc. over the years. Other than a good knife nothing has served me better on more jobs. I had the power pressure cooker XL before the instant pot. IP seems a definite step up in quality.
