Prosecco used instead of dry white wine?

Hi - I'm making chicken marbella this afternoon and I'm wondering if I could use Prosecco instead of dry white wine as that is what I have on hand.

It will marinate overnight so I'm thinking/hoping that it will become flatter over that time period.

Thanks for any advice.

If the prosecco is extra brut or brut, it is probably dry enough. Does it compare

to a dry white such as pinot grigio? Sometimes prosecco can be rather sweet.

Also, is the wine a dominant component, or a small ratio of the marinade? If it is small amount, I dom't thonk it would matter as much to the finished dish.

Can you believe I have never had Chicken Marbella? I know it was very popular, but somehow I missed it.

Thank you Lisa

The prosecco is extra dry. I think I'll give it a try. I'm not much for white wine - always have a bottle of red available.
I appreciate the feedback.

P.S. - it really is a lovely meal. I add some apricots for colour.

It did turnout great.

We aren't fans of chicken thighs so I use chicken breasts cut into 3/4 bite size pieces. It was delicious. I love to have something prepared to put in the oven on Sunday so that I'm free to spend the day with my daughter and her family.
Thank you again Lisa for your input.
Hope you're having a great summer.
Betty
