PSA: Just say no to Costco veggie broth - I threw the whole case out.

I was actually shocked at the *zero-flavor* from BJ's organic chicken broth.

It "looked" beautiful...opaque and a yellow/soft golden color. But the stuff had ABSOLUTELY NO TASTE WHATSOEVER. Not chickeny...not salty...not meaty. Nada.

I ended up using it as the liquid to make broth from leftover rotisserie chicken bones/skin.

Such a disappointment.

(Added: I'm not sure what company brand it was...I purchased it at BJ's)

OMG, you threw it out? They are so good at taking things back....I don't know how much salt it has

but I bet you could have thrown it into a stock pot with a chicken and really had a good chicken stock. I never buy veggie broth, the ones I have tried are awful. I use my home made chicken stock instead...since it is loaded with veggies too.

If the sodium level is acceptable, you can also use less than good broths and stocks

to mix with your dogs kibble, they love it. Just make sure the product is not full of chemicals and unpronounceable words.

I'd had it awhile and just wanted it gone. I needed veggie for vegetarian

but the flavor was awful and I don't have dogs/etc to use it up. I didn't still have the receipt.

They probably would still take it back. They gave me $1300 on a TV I had had for 3 years

and it blew "something". The warranty they had at the time covered it! I didn't have the receipt. GREAT customer service!!

It was pretty impressive. We bought one of the first HD TVs there and after about

3 years the screen failed. It would cost maybe $500 to repair--if that was what was wrong. Read a blog about the particular TV and of the MYRIAD who had the same thing wrong, one said that Costco's extended warranty (built in) covered theirs. Inquired (before loading the monster up) and they looked it up by membership # and yes, refundable (with a credit since I didn't have the receipt). Bought a larger one for $800 and spent the rest. Their warranty is less now, but......
