Q. re: Michael's Carnitas. Has anyone used a crockpot for the first part of the recipe, instead

of simmering the pork on the stove top, before finishing in the oven? If so, cooking time and high vs. low would be very helpful.

I've made this dish the way it is written several times - always to raves, but it would be helpful to able to simmer the meat in a crockpot during the day.

I would go for it on low

for about 6 to 8 hours. I do a similar dish and have had excellent results.
