I wanted to ship this to mom, and she no longer has a fridge in her room. So it would be at rm temp both shipping and stored in mom's room.

As a kid I don't recall us keeping it in the fridge.

 
No...I made mine over a week ago and it's been sitting on the dining room table, in little

cups & cellophane bags. I did cover the top with a ring of waxed paper before putting the cup in the bag. Three folks have received their goodie boxes already and all said it was fine. I was worried about the butter issue, but it was invisible when cut.

Oh...my house temperature has been down to 64 and up to 72.
