Question about the peanuts in Salted Peanut Butter Toffee Cookies

Are these toffee covered whole/halved peanuts, or chopped peanuts like English Toffee?

The ones from Trader Joes are called "honey roasted peanuts" -- they were fabulous!

I found the toffee (or butter-toffee) ones to be waaay too hard and was afraid someone would break a tooth... or maybe the ones I bought were just too hard - like little jawbreakers.

The honey roasted were much easier to chop up, too.
