Question about wild game and restaurants >>

I just read in a NY Times article that "American restaurants aren’t permitted to sell wild game shot in this country, but they can import it from Scotland".

Why is that?

I remember when I and my boy friend were students, he hunted for game and sold the meat to a local five star restaurant (he also sold wild trout and salamon) and we got free dinners in return.

We had a ball - and I think, so did the chef! smileys/smile.gif
