Finally, I am going to attempt to recreate your recipe which sounds "spot on." I am just wondering if I can replicate in half. Judging from the ingredients, I suspect that this should be an easy adjustment. Any thoughts would be helpful.
I usually make Steve2LA's (is that correct?) Hoppin' John recipe for New Years, but in light of the fact that the Bearcats will be playing in the Sugar Bowl on Friday, I want to be supportive!!
But I am just one . . . I can freeze/eat leftovers for a long while, but a recipe for gazillions (four pounds of hamburger !!??!!)is daunting. Forget freezing, I would be eating this for a year!!
So, GO BEARCATS!! Who would have thought?? I thought I went to a BBall School. Football?? Sorry, I don't speak football, but I will watch and cheer our Bearcats on!!
I can't wait to make your Cincinnati Chili recipe after all these years!!
Thanks and Happy New Years.
