Question for Traca or Cyn or anyone else who made Peanut Butter Crispy bars

I was going to make these last night as a treat for work and then saw that they took 3.5 HOURS to make! Plus the horrid "soft ball stage" scenario was invoked. I immediately began lighting candles and drawing a pentagram in blood-red Heinz ketchup on the kitchen floor.

Do I really have to go there??? We're sweltering in 94,786.6% humidity right now and that makes getting sugar to any cooked stage difficult for me.

LOL! It's chilling between adding the layers that take a while. Everything else comes

together very simply. I made the crispy part, added the peanut layer, then went out to run errands. Came home and added the chocolate layer and went to bed. Sliced them in the morning.
