Question - I have a cupcake recipe calling for vegetable shortening .. what would you use ...if you

don't have crisco - can I just use butter or is oil better or if must be - margarine.

Something solid, like butter or margarine is what I would suggest. (nt)

elaine, it will just be a little softer if you use butter - maybe scale back the liquid a little
