Question: Mini Bittersweet M&Ms for baking

I have difficulty finding these, too... my Vons doesn't have them but sometimes Ralphs does.

They must have sent them all up here--I just can't find Hershey Cinnamon Chips.

I found 4 bags last week, a miracle, and can't find any more. I have requests in for the stores to carry them year round.

I wish I could try those, but I refuse to mailorder when the postage is more than the product to AK.

Our stores are starting to carry KA flour products, so I will start campaigning for the KA cinnamon chips. thanks for the tip.

Isn't it just criminal! I ordered $10 in product...$30 for quick UPS. All in stock. So I kept

adding more product since the shipping didn't change. So now I'm at $20 in product.

But of course, they lied when they said it was in stock. 2 weeks have passed and they're waiting for their shipment to arrive. In the meantime, have no intention of reducing that quick 2-day shipping to me. I could have had it mailed for $8 and it would have been here by now, if it had actually been in stock.

My rant for today.

Marg, I have a wesite, and it's very easy to refund shipping. You should insist on it.

since you didn't get your order quickly. Call and tell them you'd like to switch to regular UPS. You should also be able to cancel the order if you no longer need it. If worse comes to worst, you can refuse the package and have your credit card company reverse the charge.

Our customers are astounded when I call or email them if their order can't be processed right away, to see how they'd like us to handle it. Shouldn't everybody be doing that?

I agree. It's just sensible customer service. Unfortunately, Canadians can't be choosers when

we order from the US. MOst sites won't even deliver here. I dunno if they think it has to travel by dogsled or what.

And this is a product I can't get ANYwhere. I think it's just coming back again after a hiatus of ...can you believe it? ....45 years!

geez, I'm getting old.

We're starting to get more orders from Canada with the US dollar so low. There are customs forms to

fill out, but once you get the hang of them they're not that much trouble. The shipping is expensive for you, though, and I know you may get charged duty on your end. Still, American businesses should welcome the new opportunity!

I avoid those flavored chips, because the ones I've tried (Hershey's, Guittards) taste so plastic...

but I've never tried the King Arthur ones. I had high hopes for the Guittard ones, but was disappointed in those. (Do they have two lines of Guittard chips? I bought mine in the grocery store for on sale for $2.50/bag...)

So maybe I should try the KA ones...?

I tried to order this from any CDN site but they just didn't have what I wanted. And get this,

it was a CDN company, located in and shipped from Brampton and charged in US dollars. And if you paid them in CDN, they would convert, and then add a $5 fee on top.

I don't know if anyone does the thinking in some of these organizations. Some survive only by accident. I sent an email to this company and told them that every item had the same description on their site....as in same dimensions. They wrote back and thanked me for noticing that & that they would fix it. That was 3 months ago. NOthing's changed.

Had I not been waiting for years and years for this product to return, I would cancel the order from the US company because my nose is out of joint. But it's just minor stuff.
