question re.oven-baked drumsticks

That seems like a lot of butter, even for 24 drumsticks. Does it really take that much or should I decrease it and the mustard proportionally? I plan to make this Tuesday.

A lot of it cooks out and puddles in the pan, but it keeps the chicken moist in the process

You could probably decrease it but I would not decrease the mustard. You need it to hold the breading.

cyalexa, I halved the recipe and we made 4 large thighs with it. There was still butter mix

and coating left over.

I put the coating on top of a manicotti casserole since I had only put some of it in the dipping bowl. The leftover butter mix I dumped since the brush was touching raw chicken.

Thanks for the input. I have a "family pack" of legs, about 12 I think.

That's more surface area than 4 large thighs so maybe a half recipe of the mustard/butter will work for me.
