Quick mushroom question....

I wanted to make stuffed mushrooms (had a craving) for football game snacks today. BUT I only have "porteenies" (little portobellos). I really don't want to run to the store.

Can I use the stems from those to chop up in the stuffing? I had leftover crab and was going to make a recipe I found in the search.
