island drink called Ting, which was a jerry-rigged version of Schwepps Bitter Lemon which they don't make any more. Or at least I can't get it.

This link provides a recipe for a quinine syrup, and amazingly I have every ingredient except the key one: cinchona.

Article mentions it can be found in Manhattan at Kalustyans, where 3 ounces cost $12.99.

Is that near anyone??

I was just at Kalustyan's yesterday (I could go back anytime), but Michael's deal is much better...
