Do you cook it on a griddle plate of some sort?

It is kind of tricky for me to get the whites set, yet still have the yolk runny

 
No, DH just does it on the regular grate.

And I don't think we ever thought about the yolk being runny - we'll have to ask next time we do it if that would be preferred. smileys/frown.gif

 
Maybe does it in a pepper half rather than a "ring" as this recipe

does, so the egg doesn't leak out. That was what I thought it was when I first saw the recipe.

 
How do you crack an egg into a bell pepper slice on the grate of your grill?

It would fall through the grates. You must do it in a bell pepper half?

 
Yes, it's a bell pepper half. I didn't realize that the picture was of a ring.
