The price was $5.00. I subscribed and now I'm getting calls that there is a balance of $22.00 and if I don't pay it, the bill will be sent to a collection agency.

My credit card was charged for the $5 as soon as I filled out the subscription form.

Happening to anyone else here?

 
I think I did the same thing. Haven't heard anything like you, as yet, but will be on the lookout.

 
Cyn, I went into my magazine records and I renewed my subscription 11/28 through a service called

Subscription Addiction that was posted that day here. I chose $10 for two years. It has gone through and the newest magazine had the subscription updated, so no problems. Hope you can get it sorted out. This was the first time we've used that service, generally use Discount Magazines. Many renewals through them and no problems, but they don't always have the magazine I want.

 
The reality is

the subscribers are signing you up for perpetual subscriptions these days. Until you do something. My subscription for the NYTimes is coming to and end, I will call them before they jack me up to $400/year and tell them I will not pay that. They will back down and offer you a lower rate. Else? You cancel.
