Not to denigrate the "other" sex, but I'm making this for a coworker's team meeting and it will be served to a bunch of engineering guys. Hungry guys. Guys who will have NO compunction whatsoever diving into the bowl feet first and destroying whatever artistic pattern I make with a piping bag and whipped cream. The dip will get messy, I realize that, but I'd like it to either look nice for a little while or not add to the general messiness altogether.

So I was wondering if i should just whip/fold the heavy cream right into the dip. However. I have to make it up on Wednesday night and it won't be served until lunch on Thursday.

so...whip/fold or left out completely?

I do not do the whipped cream. I make it the day before ; put in serving piece and then before

serving; throw tons of blueberries on it. I do not do the whipped cream.

Funny that you mention "engineering guys" .. CAUSE.... I doubled the batch and split it up in seperate serving dishes. I made it on Friday to serve on both Sat and Sunday. (Busy time of year w/ year end celebrations / parties) Anyway, both Sat and Sun I had husbands ask for the rec.. I not only emailed the rec but also sent them home with the little bit of leftovers! It is unusual in my groups to have the men comment more than once on a dish, but this one does it!

This weekend, I served with graham crackers vs. vanilla waffers, and it worked well.

Let me know if you do the whipped cream. Enjoy! I know your engineer colleagues will be lucky to have it!!

grahams---good idea, and Teddy Grahams would be fun! most guys I know love anything key lime

I like charlie's idea of a dollop of whipped cream in the center and

sprinkled with toasted coconut. How messy can that get?
