...both the peanut butter and the shortbread, I'm reminded of another famous author that caught my attention: Nick Malgieri. I bought his cookie book, and tried a few of his recipes, hoping that they would best my own. Nope. Didn't cut it.

I respect anyone's opinion, whether they agree with me or not, but that's my assessment.

Maida Heatter's recipes are okay. Some of them.

One year I made his (NM) bushe noel, complete with all the fancy mushrooms and everything. Nobody hardly ate it, so thinking I messed it up, tried it again the next year with the same result.
