lost thier clear "goop" around them a couple days ago, and now I don't know what to do with them. They are sitting in a jar of water. They didn't drop to the bottom of the jar like they were supposed to, and hubby ate the other ones (inside of the tomato)! lol

Rvb? Anyone?

dry them out first! the goop will take care of itself. then...

store them in an envelope til spring.

Oh - it's as easy as that? Thanks. I just need to take them out of the water now, if it's not too

late!

Ok, haven't done this before... do you remove them from tomatoes and put into water?

Can you just remove from tomato and lay out to dry? On paper towels? In the sun? Don't they get moldy?

The web instructions I found say to put the pulp

in a warm glass of water and cover it. When it finished frementing (in a few days), the "gel" will disintegrate (neccessary to germinate, when you plant them).

The good seeds should fall to the bottom. Then you rinse them and lay them out separately, on a paper towel, to dry. If not thoroughly dried at this point, they WIL get moldy. Then store them in an envelope until ready to plant.
