From the peach thread....Ron in Worcester's Peach Crostata as posted by Maria. I made it last evening. I can see why Ron's buddies made him bake it so frequently; it is pretty darn good. I didn't tweak it at all and I used cinnamon as suggested. very, very good and simple. I took a photo of it but can't seem to post here. I will try via Facebook.

Cathy, I could not load photos that were LIVE: those annoying 3-second shots where people move.

They remind me of the moving portraits at Hogwarts and not in a good way, but my brother loves them because he gets to see his grandkids in action. My iPhone automatically sets that function as the default and I have to remember to shut it off. If I do get a LIVE photo, selecting EDIT and converting it to a single photo lets me convert it.

That was the little trick that helped me with my image issue here.

Agree. Same recipe as my old peach kuchen but with white sugar. Also agree that

refrigerating spoils it. If you try the peach kuchen which uses brown sugar, let me know which you prefer. I'd be interested.

I have made it with white as well. I'm making it again tonight and am going to throw in some blueberries. It is SO simple and I can't get enough peaches (or blueberries or pears).

I have also used ricotta and strawberries. Strawberries and rhubarb. It's a fine concoction to rework and it always comes out perfectly.
