Been sick with one cold after the other since Christmas so not much cooking has been happening at my house lately. But I am finally feeling better and I tried this soup.
I can't begin to tell you how good it is!!! I pretty much followed the exact recipe except for the wine. I had a little left over cab so that is what went into the soup. I made it Monday night and we had it last night. OMG!! it is so good. The only thing I forgot to do was add the chopped chard stems in with the onions and carrots. I had a beautiful chuck steak, (pasture raised and grain finished --yes I do pet the cows when they are up by the barn), from the farm I go to and it was tender and delicious in this soup.
