Brussels Sprouts with Three Citrus Butter
Thanksgiving Day Tip:
Instead of a traditional grater, try one of the new micro plane-inspired graters. Sleek, efficient and easy to use, these new gadgets are a must have for the once-in-awhile and the everyday cook. Use for citrus zest, grating nutmeg, and creating billowing clouds of Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese.
Total Time: 15 minutes
Serves: 8
3 lbs. Brussels sprouts, trimmed and sliced in half
1/2 stick Wild Oats Unsalted Butter
2 tsp. lemon zest
2 tsp. orange zest
2 tsp. tangerine zest
salt and pepper to taste
Cook Brussels sprouts in a large saucepan of salted and boiling water for about 5 to 6 minutes. Drain and place on a platter. Melt butter in a saucepan. Stir in citrus zest. Pour over sprouts. Season with salt and pepper. Serve immediately.
