this is my very first (that I am aware of) gluten free baked good. I was not trying for a gluten free cake. It was the "buckwheat" in the title that caught my eye. As I have most of a bag left over from buckwheat bilinis (which, oh by the way, I will make again, they are so good and freeze so well and are extremly tasty topped with Meryl's salmon mousse!).
Anyway, this cake is wonderful. I sprinkled with a bit of powdered sugar and served with a jar of blueberry marmalade from last summer's harvest (as the only fresh blueberries here right now are from Chili!). YUM!
