Sinfully sweet, but delicious...
Chocolate Toffee Bars
1st Layer:
1 3/4 c flour
3/4 c packed brown sugar
3/4 cold butter
Preheat oven to 350º (325º for glass dish). In medium bowl, combine flour and sugar. Cut in butter until crumbly. Press in bottom of 9 x 13 and bake 15 minutes.
2nd Layer:
1-14 oz can sweetened condensed milk--add 1/4 c melted chocolate chips
1 egg
1 t vanilla
1 bag chocolate toffee chips
1 c nuts, chopped (optional)
Combine the milk, egg, vanilla and mix well. Spread over crust. Top with toffee chips and nuts. Bake 20-25 minutes or until bubbly. Cool and cut.
