I don't know where I got this tasty dressing recipe, someplace on the net and if it's from someone here, please step up and take crredit. I'm not the biggest coleslaw fan, but I love it with this dressing. I'm also not a fan of coleslaw swimming in dressing, so use just enough to moisten it. Last night, I think I used about a combined 5-6 cups of finely sliced cabbage along with shredded carrot, finely sliced red and green bell peppers and red onion and made half the dressing recipe.
Coleslaw Dressing
2 teaspoons sugar
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning (I used Penzey's Florida seasoning, but think the Sunny Spain would be good also)
1/4 teaspoon granulated garlic
1 tablespoon Creole mustard
1 cup Hellman's mayonnaise
1/4 cup salad oil ( I used grapeseed oil)
In a small bowl, stir sugar into red wine vinegar and add salt, lemon pepper seasoning and garlic. Stir in the mustard and mayonnaise. Whisk in the salad oil. Use to dress the slaw mixture of your choice.
