Creamy Rutabaga

1 small rutabaga, peeled and diced

1 tbsp sugar

1/4 c evaporated milk

1/4 c firmly packed light brown sugar

2 tbsp butter

salt to taste

ground nutmeg

Cook rutabaga in 1" of boiling salted water 10 minutes. Stir in sugar, and cook until very tender, drain well.

Combine all ingredients except nutmeg, beat on high speed of electric mixer until creamy. Sprinkle with nutmeg.

Serves 4-6
