Just finished cooking this delish dish. Used butternut squash, no parsnips. WFH is inhaling it now. I used the crockpot outside, on the patio, and some workmen and delivery men came by and said "Oh, what smells so good?" They asked for the recipe. Thanks to Olga D (Ont) and AngAk for a winner!

 
One of my all time favorites for fall/winter. Leftovers are even better, if you have any.

Don't be tempted to leave out the raisins(or other dried fruit you prefer). It really makes the dish special.
