Dawn, this sounds good. How sweet is it with the listed sugar. . .

I am a real opponent of stuff that is "too sweet" (to me!).

Sweet, sweet and sour, sour and sweet? What do you think?

Hi Dawn....(more)....

I see that you're typing with capital
letters again. Does this mean that
you're all healed (I hope)?

Hi Yama,

thanks, i am on the mend. I should be getting the right cast off in 2 1/2 weeks but the left arm will be longer, but to have the use of one arm again will be glorious. I might even be able to drive again which will make me so happy. Plus I am a rightie. My familybhas been fantastic, and my MIL is stating with us until the end of the month and she has been such a big help. At the end of the month I start the dental repair, luckily the teeth were top rear molars so it does't look bad. All in all, I am doing great. When I start to feel frustrated I just think about how lucky I was. I fell into the front door which is at the bottom of the stairs. You can see the two dents where my hands hit and the dents where my head and teeth hit. If my hands hadn't hit first, I probably wouldn't be typing this right now. And I have lost eight pounds, but I wouldn't recommend this diet to anyone else! (smie) Thanks Yama.

Hi mistral,

It was on the sweet side but not cloyingly. Just make the dressing and add a little bit of sugar at a time until it tastes right to you. There is quite a bit of acid in the dressing, so you just want the sugar to balance the other flavors. This slaw wasn't floating in dressing, it was more like a heavy coating.
The amounts in the dressing are approximate since I was directing my husband who has become quite proficient at slicing and dicing exactly as I direct him too. A wonderful trait in a man!

Tried this last night...ate some for BREAKFAST this morning!

That's how much I loved it...thank you for a lovely variation on cole slaw!
