I made this last night…talk about easy and fast!.....It’s a diabetic recipe, also a raw food recipe.

Fruit & Nut Balls

½ c pitted dates

½ c raisins, dark or golden

2 tbsp cocoa or carob powder

½ c walnuts

½ c sunflower seeds

1 c walnuts, ground finely

First finely grind 1 c of walnuts, set aside.

Grind the remaining items in a food processor or meat grinder.

Using a teaspoon, press mixture into 24 small balls. You may have to press the mixture hard for it to hold together; otherwise you can add just a few DROPS of water to help hold the mixture together.

Roll in the ground walnuts.

 
These sound as if they would be good to take long-distance bike riding. . .

neat, sweet, and easy to eat with no pure sugar in them.
