RECIPE: REC: Ina's Chunky Bleu Cheese and Yogurt Dip - thought this looked good

RECIPE:
You're not talking about her new book "Make it Ahead" are you.

I just got it from the library finally and she always grabs me right in with all the gorgeous photos. I'm a sucker for visual and lots in it making me drool.

I'm pretty sure these recipes are from "How Easy Is That" which is the only other book I don't have.

If you make any, please review. I've made the Pork Tenderloin in Prosciutto with the Apple Chutney

and it was so delicious. I want to make the Scallops Coquille Saint Jacques next. Would love to hear about any gems you find. I don't have the book.

C-1, I made the Coquille from the Make Ahead book--really really good!

I used a mix of dried and fresh mushrooms, as I didn't have enough fresh. DH LOVED it!!

It was just DH and I, so I used a shallow casserole dish for all. Was great. There were leftovers,

as it's pretty rich. IT was our New Year's Eve dinner. smileys/smile.gif
DH had gotten me the book for Xmas.

I've spent some time going through the book and have found

several I want to try. One of the things I like about Ina is much of the time her food is just good and easy comfort food. Here are the ones I want to try, don't know when cause I have several things on the "could you make this" list but I'll let you know when I do. I think I'll probably start with the Pastitsio. It reminds me a lot of Tamale Pie. And the baked polenta with mushrooms and blue cheese would be a great side with almost all meats.

Ham and Leek Empanadas
Baked Polenta with Mushrooms and Blue Cheese
Salty Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk Cookies
Herbed Pork Tenderloins with Apple Chutney
Carrot and Cauliflower Purée
Pastitsio
