This very interesting salad was in today's food section as part of an Easter buffet menu. Sounds really good and I thought I'd share:
CHAI SPICE BLEND:
2 teaspoons each cardamom, cinnamon and ground cloves
1 teaspoon white pepper
Mix in small bowl until blended.
VINAIGRETTE:
1/3 cup olive oil
1/3 cup orange juice
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon chai spice blend
1/8 teaspoon salt
Mix in small bowl until well blended.
SALAD:
1 package (6 ounces) field greens or baby spinach
2 seedless oranges, peeled and sectioned or sliced
2 cups strawberry halves
½ cup pecan pieces, lightly toasted
Mix all ingredients in large bowl. Toss salad with vinaigrette just before serving. Makes 6 servings
