RECIPE: REC: "Pretty Healthy" Banana Muffins (made them yesterday), not really too sweet, more like bread

And good with a put of butter on them too.

1 3/4 whole wheat flour

3/4 tsp baking soda

1 1/4 cream of tartar

1/2 tsp salt

1 Tbsp cinnamon

pinch nutmeg

1/3 cup butter or butter substitue

1/2 cup overripe bananas, mashed

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 eggs, beaten

1/4 cup walnuts, broken

1/4 cup dark chocolate chips

1/2 cup nonfat yogurt (but of course I used my Greek yogurt! ;o))

Combine dry ingredients and cut in butter. Combine remaining ingredients and add to above. Beat well.

Fill muffin tins almost to rim and bake at 350 degrees F for about 20-25 minutes, depending on size of muffins. Makes about 16 muffins.

That was supposed to be 2 tsp, not a Tbsp. I only used baking soda, not the cream of tartar, too, so I went back and corrected so it is as it reads in the cookbook.
