RECIPE: REC: Salted Peanut Butter Toffee Cookies... these were WONDERFUL!!!

RECIPE:
I got them in the candy aisle at Longs... I hear Trader Joe's has them, too.

The ones I got were called "butter toffee peanuts" and I don't know if they are different, but they are VERY crunchy. The first bite of the cookie is almost like eating peanut brittle and makes you stop and look at what you're eating, but then it's all good! smileys/smile.gif

1 big and 2 smaller stores here, none at big store, Safeway, went to other two, at the third was

thinking, I can buy peanuts and toss with some toffee stuff. went to snack area where peanuts are and found toffee peanuts (store brand). taste o.k., will probably bake tomorrow and report back.
Haven't baked for holidays for so long except for my Louisana Pecan Cake and the "no neon" fruitcake. But we have a bake sale at the Moose Lodge next week--so three cookies, coffee toffee, and some spiced nuts and mini loaves of cranberry-orange bread. Somebody stop me!!!!
(((hugs)))

teehee---DH wondered out loud, who am I baking all these cookies and cakes for?? good question.

I just can't seem to stop. I have the need to keep giving away.

I got Trader Joe's toffee peanuts yesterday... MUCH better than the butter toffee peanuts...

I was afraid someone would break a tooth! smileys/smile.gif

So, are these toffee covered whole/halved peanuts, or chopped peanuts like English Toffee? NT
