2# fresh small young green beans, cut French style

2 c chicken broth

1/2 tsp dried chervil

1-1/2 tsp salt

1/4 c butter

1/4 c blanched almonds

2 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

Put fresh green beans, chicken broth, chervil and salt in a saucepan. Cover, bring to boil. Reduce heat to simmer about 15-20 minutes, just until beans are crisp tender. Drain thoroughly.

Heat butter in a large heavy skillet. Add almonds and cook over low heat until golden. Stir in beans and lemon juice, mix well, serve as soon as heated thoroughly. Serves 6
