Squash and Apple Casserole

3 c cubed, cooked butternut squash

1-1/2 c stewed apples

salt

3/4 c firmly packed brown sugar

6 tbsp butter

ground cinnamon

Place 1 c squash in a buttered casserole; top with 1/2 c apples. Sprinkle lightly with salt and 1/4 c sugar; dot with 2 tbsp butter. Repeat layers twice; sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at 350, 45 minutes or until lightly browned.

Serves 6-8
