I have a hard time finding a tomatoe sauce I like, but I REALLY like this. Hope you enjoy this as much as I do:

3 cups long grain Thai sticky rice
Sauce:
2 tsp dried shrimps
2 small shallots, minced
2 Thai bird chilies
5 fresh kaffir leaves, torn( hard to find)
2 tsp oil
2 large garlic cloves, minced
4 oz lean ground pork
4 oz lean ground beef
1 lb ripe tomatoes( (1- 16 oz can peeled, not cut tomatoes) chopped
2 tsp palm sugar(optional)
1-2 tsp fish sauce
lime juice to taste
Soak rice overnight , cover with 3 inches of water..drain...steam till done...
Sauce,
Using mortor and pestle, grind together dried shrimp, chilies, and lime leaves
In skillet,heat oil over medium high heat, stir fry garlic for about 30 secs, add shrimp mixture, stir fry for 30 secs, add beeef and pork stir fry till browned and done.
add tomaotes, fish sauce, sugar,lime juice, bring to boil..reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes..or until medium thick consistency.
serve with rice...
