Taking the Bacon Vodka post from several months ago, we developed this very tasty brunch drink:

Add to 1 quart of vodka:

3 strips of cooked bacon

10 whole black peppercorns

1/2 small jalapeno

8 large Romaine Lettuce leaves, shredded

1 sprig rosemary

Set in a cool dark place for 2 to 3 weeks.

Put in the freezer for a couple hours until the fat turns solid.

Pour through a coffee filter to strain.

Mix bacon vodka with V-8 juice as for a Bloody Mary.

Garnish with a cocktail pic threaded with 1 garlic-stuffed olive, 1 cocktail onion, and 1 cherry tomato.

These are wonderful.

Between this one & the one above, I want to come to YOUR house!

My job is driving me to drink so I need a good mixologist around. How do you find the place to store all this stuff when you are making it? My husband would shoot me if I had all these things macerating and fermenting and such. But then again on second though, maybe that's my problem....

LOL Oh, there's always room. It's not the space, it's having

enough crocks and large glass jars to store it all in. But then, I do have 5 gallons of mead in a glass carboy sitting in the middle of the guest bathroom...

Ooh! What flavor mead?

We still haven't tried a mead...but wanting to do one like your cherry ginger mead.
Still can take that!!!

Oh the cherry giner was indeed a special one...

this one is going to grow up to be....

just mead!

I used Basswood honey and decided to just go pure. So unlike me I know. LOL

And do try a mead. It takes awhile, but wow, are they ever tasty.
