Tilapia in tahini
Recipe by chef Idi Israelovich who has one of the most famous and delicious fish restaurants in Israel.
2 Tilapia fish (4 fillets)
1/4 cup olive oil
Purple onion
2 cloves of garlic
Salt, black pepper
Tahini
1/2 cup natural tahini paste
1 cup water (I would use just a bit less next time)
1 crushed garlic clove
Juice from half a lemon
1 parsley sprig
Salt.
Preparation
Heat olive oil in pan, sautee onion & garlic til golden. Pour the mix into a baking pan. Salt and pepper the fish on both sides. Lay the filets with skin side up in the pan on top of the onion. Bake at 350 for 14 minutes.
Prepare the tahini – mix the raw tahini paste, lemon juice, water, salt, garlic
Taste and add ingredients if necessary. Add chopped parsley.
Pour tahini over fish, cover and cook for 3 more minutes. (I forgot to cover
And cooking for about 5 minutes waiting for my side dish) Put in a serving plate. Sprinkle with paprika and parsley before serving.
