RECIPE: REC: Walnut and blue cheese coated grapes

RECIPE:
Do you think these can be made in advance and handle a 40 minute bus ride?

I am hosting my book club next week and these sound nice! I can make them at home on Monday night and bring them to work on the bus (short trip), but the ride out to the meeting location will take ~40 minutes or so.

Please let me know what you think! I'd hate to end up with bag full o'goo at the end of the trip! LOL

Personally Heather,

I would not take them on a bus ride. I remeber one time when my girlfriend made them for a party, her husband took the plate out of the fridge, and some of the grapes went rolling off the plate and on to the floor. When I read your post, I envisioned walnut covered grapes rolling down the bus floor. My girlfriend would shape the grapes into the shape of a grape cluster, very nice presentation. Good luck and let us know what you decide to make.

Hmm, the busses in San Francisco are like riding a bucking bronco sometimes....

and there's no guarantee I'll even get a seat, so given this, and all of your thoughts - goopiness is bad... nkay? - I think I will save these for my next party. Drat, I wanted to eat them!! LOL

So instead I'm going to make the crostini with tuscan white beans and salsa verde (to assemble upon arrival), Muhammara (purchased at a local deli), some other crackers and grapes (depending upon the price), and another reader is contributing cheese. I really want to make the brushetta with goat cheese and roasted peppers but that might be too elaborate for this group, they seem to be a no frills appie crowd but that's not my style, know what I mean?

Thanks all!
