RECIPE: Rec: Whole Wheat Fusili Salad

Just made this tonight. Very good and healthy (except for the pepperoni, I guess).

1 13-oz box of whole wheat fusilli pasta

salt

3/4 cup (more or less to taste) salsa

1/2 cup olive oil

1/4 cup cider vinegar

1/4 cup parsley, chopped

1 T celery seeds

1 small can black olives, drained and sliced

1/4 lb cheddar cheese, chunked

1/2 cup pepperoni slices, chopped

1 T onion powder (or 1/2 small onion, chopped)

salt and pepper to taste

In a large pot, boil pasta in salted water until done (13-15 minutes); drain.

While pasta is cooking, combine all other ingredients. Toss with cooked pasta and enjoy warm or cold.
