Recap on the "Cilantro Situation": Your suggestions worked!

I bought a fresh batch from the farmer's market, snipped off about 1/8" from the bottom, let the dampness dry out, then stood them up in a glass, put a large ziplock bag over the top and stood that upright in the frig. That batch lasted for over 2 weeks!

Going for test data, at 3 weeks, I was still able to get a few tablespoons of green leaves, but most were turning yellowish. Still, hardly any were getting slimy.

Based on my previous experience with cilantro, Slimeitis would have occurred the Very Next Day.

My heart-felt appreciation to each of you who offered ideas.

That's great Marilyn, I change the water occasionally, seems to help. Two weeks is about as long

as I can keep it, even with the roots on.
