RECIPE: Recipe: Emily Luchetti Blueberry Ginger Upside Down Cake @ C & H Sugar

RECIPE:
This is going straight to the top of the list of "a tasty something

to have with a morning cup of coffee". I'm inclined to add a little bit of finely diced candied ginger. Thanks Gay.

orchid, You are very welcome you brought to mind one of my favorite recipes from

the late Leslie Revsin Blueberry Buttermilk Ginger Cake which is delicious......when you mentioned adding ginger I searched the archives here for the recipe and could not find it. She was for many years the chef for Driscoll Berries and they have revamped their website and I cannot find her recipe, however I found it on line and I am going to link it. Leslie Revsin was a wonderful chef and was taken too soon.

The 2 recipes are pretty much the same aren't they. We love a little

candied ginger and I think a little bit finely minced would really add to it. I'm going to try it. I'll let you know when I get around to it...which I think will be soon.

Gay, I made this yesterday afternoon and just had a piece with

my morning coffee. Delicious! Super simple and is a great coffee cake. John loved it. Thanks for the recipe.

orchid, Glad to hear you both enjoyed the recipe....Did you make the C&H sugar recipe or Leslie

Revsin's?

Oh sorry, I made the C&H. I did add about 2 tsp of finely diced

candied ginger. But when I say finely I mean finely! I asked John to small dice some and he really went to town on it. I've got to watch that guy...;0) So I really didn't notice it this morning.
